Randy Orton Vs John Cena
Wrestling fans either love or hate John Cena, who has held the WWE Championship for 24 of the last 27 months and is currently in his third reign as champion, which has lasted 11 months. During this time he has overcome challenges from the likes of Bobby Lashley, Edge, Umaga and the Iconic Shawn Michaels.
Randy Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion at this pay per view back in 2004 and finally gets a chance to win a world heavyweight title in a one on one match. Throughout his career Randy Orton has been obsessed with decimating legends and ending careers prematurely. In the build up to this match, Randy Orton has struck the champion with the deadly RKO on numerous occasions, potentially giving him the upper hand.
Will Randy Orton fulfill his destiny and defeat John Cena? Or will John Cena once again over come the odds to continue his reign as Champion?
Triple H Vs King Booker
Triple H finally makes his return after being sidelined for almost eight months. The man referred to as “The King of Kings” faces Raw’s own royalty King Booker, in a rematch from more than five years ago at WrestleMania XIX.
Triple H has always overcome those who challenged his position at the top of the WWE Mountain and upon his return will be looking to regain a Heavyweight Championship, that he has not held since 2005.
King Booker will not be an easy obstacle for Triple H to overcome, The 2006 King Of The Ring winner is a former World Heavyweight Champion, a five-time former WCW Champion and has won more than 30 championships throughout his illustrious career.
Both wrestlers are superb in ring veterans, who know how to win and will do anything to have their hands raised.
Will King Booker cement his claim to throne and upset the fans by dampening Triple H’s return? Or will he bow down to The King of Kings?
Batista Vs The Great Khali
At Summerslam, Batista finally gets his one-on-one match against the biggest World Heavyweight Champion ever: The Great Khali.
Since Batista was forced to relinquish the title due to injury in 2006, he has been unable to recapture the gold, often being cheated by the likes of Edge. However now could be the time for the Animal to put an end to the reign of The Great Khali, which would be much to the delight of the Smackdown fans.
The Great Khali is possibly the most dominant and intimidating champion ever and has recently added a new weapon to his arsenal, a new claw hold that has already made Batista and his mentor pass out.
Can Batista do what many think is the impossible and defeat the Punjabi powerhouse? Or will The Great Khali continue to dominate those that appear in front of him?
Rey M Vs Chavo
Like Triple H, Rey Mysterio makes his WWE return at this pay per view to face the man that nearly ended his career last October, Chavo Guerrero.
The match was made by SmackDown Assistant General Manager Vickie Guerrero, much to the dismay of her nephew-in-law Chavo Guerrero, and the satisfaction of our fans.
Will Rey Mysterio have revenge on the agenda against the competitor that kept him out of action for almost a year? Will Chavo Guerrero finally accomplish what he wants and end the career or Rey Mysterio Jr?
CM Punk Vs John Morrisson
The straight edged superstar CM Punk earned his opportunity for a shot at the ECW Championship when he defeated the champion John Morrison during his 15 Minutes of Fame challenge.
The self-proclaimed guru of greatness John Morrison has reached new heights since his change in persona and is seen by many as a major star of the future.
CM Punk has also been touted for great things and could this be the time that his years of dedication to the sport finally pay off as he becomes the new ECW Champion?
Mr. Kennedy Vs Carlito Vs Umaga
One-on-one, very few Superstars have been able to handle Intercontinental Champion Umaga. Only three individuals – WWE Champion John Cena, Bobby Lashley and Santino Marella (who had a VERY big assist from Lashley) – have been able to down the Samoan Bulldozer. The primordial Intercontinental Champion seems impervious to pain at times. He knows no loyalties and knows only one speed when he brutalizes his foes in the ring – full speed. And lately, in recent matches against Marella, Jeff Hardy, Carlito, Cena, and Randy Orton, he has looked unstoppable.
The Intercontinental Champion Umaga may face the toughest challenge of his career when he defends his championship against Carlito and Mr. Kennedy.
Umaga has had a huge amount of success since re-appearing on Raw, with only the likes of John Cena and Bobby Lashley able to overcome the Samoan Bulldozer.
The outspoken Mr. Kennedy has built up his momentum since his return from injury and being drafted to Raw by sidelining the much liked Bobby Lashley. Mr. Kennedy is going to be looking to prove that he is among the elite and deserves an opportunity at a world championship.
Carlito has regained much of the focus and determination that made him a dangerous opponent earlier on in his career. He turned many a head when he defeated WWE Champion John Cena in a non-title match on Raw and now the Caribbean Bad Apple wants to hold the Intercontinental Championship title again.
Will Umaga be able to gain a victory over one of the two competitors, or will Mr. Kennedy or Carlito become the new Intercontinental Champion?
Diva Battle Royal
The show wouldn’t be complete without showcasing the lovely Divas. On this weeks episode of Raw, William Regal announced a Battle Royal among all WWE Divas will take place at SummerSlam. The winner of the match will get an opportunity to challenge Candice Michelle for the Women’s Championship.
This could be the big break that newcomer Beth Phoenix is looking for, or the chance for the likes of Jillian, or Michelle McCool have been looking for. It could also be the opportunity that former Women’s Champions such as Melina and Victoria have longed for to earn a shot at the champion.
Who will become the number one contender for the Championship held by Candice Michelle?
