WWE No Mercy - 5 Memorable Matches

In the build up to this Sunday’s WWE No Mercy PPV, we take a look at 5 matches from the history of the event.
No Mercy 1999: Intercontinental Championship Good Housekeeping Match
This match saw the end of the feud between Jeff Jarrett and Chyna. The former bodyguard of DX Chyna was victorious and became the first ever woman to be crowned the then WWF Intercontinental Champion after hitting Jarrett with his own guitar. It was later revealed that Jeff Jarrett was no longer under a WWE contract and was paid a hefty sum of money to compete in the match, burning all bridges with the McMahon family.
No Mercy 2000: Dudley Boyz Invitational Tables Match
With the tag team division at one of its biggest peaks in WWE history, the ever increasingly popular Dudley Boyz invited their rivals to a tag team tables match. Too Cool (Scotty Too Hotty and Grand Master Sexay) got off to a winning start by defeating Lo Down (Chaz and D’Lo Brown). ECW Originals Tazz and Raven eliminated Too Cool by double suplexing Scotty Too Hotty through a table.
The Dudley boys then legdropped Tazz through a table to eliminate Tazz and Raven before striking The Goodfather with a 3D through a table to eliminate the Right To Censors representatives (The Goodfather and Bull Buchanan) and win the match.
No Mercy 2001: WWF Championship Triple Threat
2001 saw the poorly received Invasion angle following the WWE’s purchases of their former rivals ECW and WCW. This match saw the then former WWF Champion Steve Austin face Kurt Angle and the supremely popular Rob Van Dam in a triple threat match. During the match both Vince and Shane McMahon interfered, the match ended when Steve Austin pinned Rob Van Dam following a Stone Cold Stunner to retain the WWF Championship.
No Mercy 2003: Vince McMahon Vs Stephanie McMahon
No Mercy 2003 saw the McMahon family feud develop further to the extend of Vince McMahon (accompanied by the lovely Sable) going face to face with his daughter Stephanie McMahon in an “I Quit” match. There was a big pre-match stipulation, if Stephanie lost, she would loose her job as SmackDown! General Manager, Vince would have given up ownership of WWE should he loose.
Vince beat Stephanie when Linda threw in the towel after Vince started choking Stephanie with a lead pipe.
No Mercy 2005: Handicap Casket Match
2005 saw Randy Orton try to end the legend of The Undertaker on many an occasion, when he was drafted to Smackdown from Raw, their feud continued. After months of baiting The Undertaker, Randy Orton (alongside his father Cowboy Bob Orton) they squared off in a Handicap Casket Match. The Ortons were victorious after Randy struck The Undertaker with a steel chair, allowing the Ortons to put him in the casket. After the match, the Ortons set the casket on fire with Undertaker inside.
