This friendly match will be Nigel Worthington’s first game after he signed a two-year deal to continue as Northern Ireland manager.
Damien Johnson is back in the Northern Ireland squad after an 11-month absence after suffering a series of hamstring injuries.
In-form Linfield striker Peter Thompson is also called into the 21-man squad. Thompson, has scored 12 goals in his last five games and replaces Glentoran forward Gary Hamilton.
Also in the squad are four Fulham players, being Chris Baird,Aaron Hughes,Steven Davis and David Healy who were all signed by former manager Lawrie Sanchez.
Keep an eye out for Sean Webb of Ross County, the defender is said to be attracting attention from both Championship and Premiership based clubs.
There are a few familiar faces in the Bulgaria squad, Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov has been named. As well as Berbatov, Aston Villa’s Stilian Petrov and Martin Petrov of Manchester City are also set to feature.
