Manchester United welcome Portsmouth to Old Traffof following their 3-1 victory over Tottenham in the FA Cup. The scoreline in that game will fool those who didn’t watch the game as it was a much closer match than the scoreline suggests.

Paul Scholes may make a start this game after playing for 25 minutes in the FA Cup game, if he does, Michael Carrick is likely to make way for him. Gary Neville may force his way into the squad as he returns from his injury, Louis Saha is still injured.
On Saturday goals from Lassana Diarra and Niko Kranjcar put Portsmouth into the FA Cup last 16 at the expense of Plymouth.
On Sunday, Portsmouth completed the loan signing of Czech Republic striker Milan Baros from French champions Lyon for the remainder of the season. Fans of Liverpool and Aston Villa will be familiar with him, having scored 19 goals in 68 league appearances for Liverpool and nine goals in 34 starts for Aston Villa.
Baros may go straight into the starting eleven due to Portsmouth’s African contenigent competing in the African Cup of Nations tournament.
