Derby manager Paul Jewell believes that his side could be just one result away from going on a mini revival.
They could have got that very result in their last match, a 2-2 draw against Newcastle at St. James’ Park.
Derby twice lead that match, with goals from Giles Barnes and Kenny Miller. Jewell may have thought his side could have collected all three points, but he will be glad his side collected something on their travels.
Liverpool will be full of confidence after an emphatic 4-1 victory over Portsmouth at Anfield. The score line could be seen as harsh against Pompey, but with the likes of Fernando Torres, Liverpool have a cutting edge about them which strikes fear into the opposition.
Liverpool fans will expect manager Rafa Benitez to make some changes to his starting eleven, if he does, striker Durk Kuyt may be dropped in place of Ukrainian hit man Voronin.
