Blackburn Rovers welcome Chelsea to Ewood Park in the final fixture of what will surely be an eventful weekend of Premiership football.
Following a great start to the season, Blackburn Rovers have struggled for form in the league as of late and have only recorded one victory in their last seven attempts. Some of the results in this run have included a humiliating 4-0 defeat at home by Aston Villa and being outclassed by Man United.
In their last league match, Rovers lost 5-3 at Wigan, there were positives from that match for manager Mark Hughes, a hat trick by Santa Cruz being one of them. In midweek Blackburn were knocked out of the Carling Cup by a second string Arsenal team 3-2. Santa Cruz scored twice in that game, there is no doubt he is one of the form strikers in the league at the moment.
Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at Arsenal last week, only their second since manager Avrim Grant took over the reigns.
They will be without skipper John Terry who has broken three bones in a foot following a challenge with Emmanuel Eboue. Didier Drogba is also out of contention so Chelsea may look a little thread bare.
The central defence could consist of Ben-Haim and Alex, luckily for Chelsea, Ashley Cole and Paulo Ferrera are now fit and are likely to start the game again.
