Aston Villa will be playing their second Premiership fixture in three days following their midweek math against Blackburn Rovers.
Villa under Martin O’Neils guidance have been improving this season and with the likes of left winger Ashley Young and exciting striker Gabriel Agbonlahor always proving to be a threat to the opposition.
Villa will be pleased to have a home fixture following two matches on the road, however their performance in the 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough impressed many.
Arsenal are top of the league, three points above second place Manchester United and also have the luxury of having a game in hand to play.
Arsenal enter the game on the back of a 3-1 midweek defeat in Sevilla. That was Arsenal’s first defeat of the season, despite striker Eduardo giving Arsene Wenger’s men an early lead.
Expect to see a few changes from the side that lost in midweek, with the likes of Philippe Senderos, Bendtner, Armand Traore and Justin Hoyte to return to the substitues bench to make way for the likes of Sagna, Gallas and Clichy.
Young striker Theo Walcatt may also get a place in the starting line up after impressing in their last Premiership fixture, a 2-0 win over struggling Wigan.
