Amir Khan faces the Danish boxer Martin Kristjansen at the Bolton Arena in a fight that has been billed as a WBO title eliminator
Amir Khan enters his seventeeth professional boxing match in his career as he looks to make a stride closer to earning a shot against America’s WBO title-holder Nate Campbell.
During the build up to the bout, Amir Khan’s manager, the much respected Frank Warren said (of Khan): “If he is going places, Amir has got to deal with the Martin Kristjansens of this world in style.”
The thirty year old Martin Kristjansen will be making his twenty fourth appearance in the world of boxing, having only lost once during that time.
However many people have raised their concerns about the credibility of Martin Kristjansen as he has only competed once in the past fifteen months. His biggest moment in boxing may well have been when he defeated Stefano Zoff in 2006.
Leading up to the bout Kristjansen said that he was not impressed with the performances from Amir Khan in his last three bouts and will expose his lack of experience.
The boxing world is expecting a great bout between the two fighters.
